That playful smirk has Newt looking momentarily wary, eyeing her curiously as she picks the bashful little Charmander up.]

He looks like a rather--

Newt chokes on his words, face lighting up.]

[Ivy chuckles at his reaction.]

Don't you think it's just the most perfect name for him?

[The Charmander shyly takes his namesake in from behind the bar of claws, before he's momentarily distracted by Ivy scratching under his chin. The fire type makes a pleased purring noise and swings its tail.]

Such an adorably shy, handsome boy.

[She croons at it and places a kiss on its snout. 'Newt' gives a happy cry and settles against her like a child with its mother, still blinking large blue eyes at big!Newt.]

[This is both the cutest thing he's witnessed in some time and the most embarrassing, in a way. He can definitely understand why Ivy picked the name she did and he's flattered, truly.

He just...this woman. She's going to be the death of him.]

Yes he--it does seem to suit him very well.

[Beside him, Queenie giggles behind her paws, amused at her trainer's reaction. When Ivy calls things are always amusing!]

Such a sweet little child. [She's grinning now as she strokes lil!Newt's cheek.] Like having my own little pocket version of you.

I'm sure he'd be very interested in meeting you too. [She taps the Charmander's nose playfully.] Would you like to meet your namesake my little one?

[Newt gives a little nod and waves at the other trainer bashfully.]

[It takes everything he has not to duck his head and shut the feed off, not wanting to be rude to Pamela because he did count her as a good friend.

But oh this was embarrassing.

He manages a slight wave when the Charmander waves, still unable to properly focus on Ivy herself, though.]

Yes that--I would be very honored to meet your new--this little one--Newt. Little Newt.

[The Charmander chimes at the nickname while Ivy smiles at Newt.] Now, Newt. Don't be embarrassed. I didn't name him to upset you, I liked the qualities you shared.

No I--I wouldn't say I'm..I'm not upset. It's just rather unexpected. That's all.

Oh, good. I'd feel horrible if I'd upset you.

I..sincerely doubt you could ever truly upset me, Pamela. Fluster..yes. Definitely.
