[Newt has to bite his lip to hold back a laugh at how stubborn Lana is and at how they argue about the whole thing, giving them a moment to attempt to work it out before he clears his throat.

Of course, by this point, the commotion over the 'gear has drawn Roxy over and she stands beside Newt with Montague the Elekid perched on her back.]

I don't want to cause any sort of issues, Diana--perhaps we could work something out where they come visit here and there. To give you a break, that is. Rather than me taking any, if Lana would rather I not take more than just the one.

[Diana narrows her eyes and purses her lips.]

It isn't funny.

[Lana sees Roxy and gives a bark of greeting and a thump of her tail.]

She's the one causing an issue.

[She inclines her head towards Lana, who is unfazed.]

We're in Kanto! It's not like they can pop on down for a day visit.

[He immediately looks apologetic, holding up his hands.]

My apologies, Diana.

[Please don't hurt him.

Roxy's ears perk and she barks back in greeting. Hi mom!!!]

Well, perhaps then...Lana, would it be alright if I took a few of them for the time being and then once they've grown a bit then can come back to join the back? Just to give Diana a bit of a break from such a large group of puppies?

[She looks at Lana beseechingly.]

Please Lana.

[Lana stands and very careful nudges the egg Joy picked over to Diana, then trots back and places herself between Diana and the rest.]

Lana, c'mon- [Bark!] - just until- [Bark!] - how am I gonna- [Bark!] - it's too- [Bark!]

... You're being a bitch, right now. Do you know that? A literal bitch.

[She sighs and picks up the egg.]

Guess it's this one only.

I'm sorry, Diana. I wish there was more I could do.

[Roxy tilts her head then looks to Newt, letting out a soft rumbling bark. The wizard looks down at her and she continues to rumble at him, clearly communicating in a way that Newt's come to understand because his expression becomes rather thoughtful.]

Would it help any if we sent some of our companions along to assist with things?

"Gifts?" Newt murmured as he absently ran his fingers through her hair, a bit bolder when they were alone like this. "You..Pamela you didn't have to get me anything."

Says the man that got her several things.

No, god! [Diana holds her hands up and shakes her head.] Don't send me anymore, jesus christ!

[She cradles her head in her hands, defeated as Lana speaks to Roxy over the comm. Thanking her for the offer but ultimately the thinks the pack can handle it.]

I'll get the egg sent over to you as soon as I can. And you- [She scowls at Lana.] -I'm replacing with a cat.

[Lana just snorts and looks smug.]

Ivy looks amused as her lips follow her fingers across his throat. "Of course I did, though not much I'm afraid to admit."

She adjusts herself a little more so she can press against him, arm laying across him in a lazy hug.

"And not to spoil the surprise, but I was planning on a little picnic for the two of us once we reached the Safari Zone today."

"It could be one small thing and it would be more than enough, Pamela," Newt said sincerely, smiling at her as she rested her arm across him. Seriously, Ivy. He's not a very materialistic person at the end of the day.

But oh a picnic! Now that is right up his alley!

His smile warms as she mentions it and he lifts his head enough to press a shy kiss to her lips.

"That sounds wonderful."

[Roxy let's out a snort at Diana's exclamation, glancing at her mom and giving her a canine grin. Look what you've done to the poor girl, mom!

Newt, at least, looks apologetic.]

Alright, I promise I won't send anymore. I'll keep an eye out for the egg and it'll be in the best hands here, I promise.

"Well, it's not too small, but small enough to keep with you." She returns the kiss gently.

They cuddle and she enjoys how warm he feels against her. Then she places another kiss upon his cheek. "But I'm afraid you'll have to rise if we want to make it on time."

[Lana is not worried, clearly. Diana will simply have to adjust, she's strong enough. She sends her daughter her own wolfish grin back.

Diana takes a moment to breathe and curse everything dog-like under her breath.]

Thanks, Newt. I'll talk to you again later.

"Sounds perfect to me," he murmured, almost wanting to stay right where he was rather than get up anytime soon--

But Safari Zone.

"I suppose you are right." He sounds really heartbroken. Seriously. Okay maybe he does sound rather excited about getting up and going but it does take him a bit longer than normal to let go of her. "The sooner we get going the sooner we can have our picnic."

"Very true." She chuckles and steals some more kisses to his neck as he rises. "You can have your gift when you get dressed. I think you'll find use for it when we reach our destination."

With a smile she turns and begins dressing for the day shamelessly beside him.

[At some point later in the day Newt will get a package delivered by Murkrow. Inside is a Titanium Water Bottle with Midday Lycanroc decal on it. There's also a birthday card, which Diana has made by taking a picture of the giant pack and all it's new puppies.]

Happy Birthday! Sorry I can't make it to your party. Hope you have a good one. I got you something simple because I figured it'd suit you more.

He just chuckles and tries not very hard to get away from the kisses, managing to steal one from her lips before he's attempting to get himself dressed as well.

"Oh?" he murmured, glancing over at her and while there was definitely a blush there he was more at ease with how shameless she was now and his gaze lingered for a moment longer than normal before he was looking away so he could actually focus on dressing. "Well then I look forward to seeing what it is even more."

[The Murkrow will return to Diana, after getting spoiled with some treats, with a letter from Newt and a small package containing a slice of cake.]

Ivy was vaguely aware of his looking but she hardly minded. She was dressed before him and took a wrapped present from her bag, resting it on her lap as she turns to face Newt once more.

He wasn't completely dressed yet, but again, Ivy was shameless. She watches the Magizoologist with a playful smile on her lips, waiting for him.

He can feel her gaze on him now and that's what gets him blushing, the wizard fighting the urge to fidget as he pulls a shirt over his head--the one Diana had gotten him for Christmas actually--and glanced over his shoulder at her.

"Enjoying yourself?" he asked teasingly as if he wasn't blushing right now.

"Very much so." She purrs back, reaching an arm out to trace her finger over where she knows one of his faint scars is hidden beneath the shirt he just put on.

Pamela feels rather proud of him when he teases her though, so she rewards him with some praise. "I find you very attractive, Mr Scamander." And perhaps another tease of her own. "So, I rather enjoy seeing you unclothed."

A shiver goes through him and he finds himself leaning towards her touch even as she pulls her hand away.

"That...well that--I'm glad," he stumbled briefly before straightening up and collecting himself as he offered her a faint grin. "I..rather enjoy seeing you in the same state."

Her brow arches at his boldness and her smirk gains a predatory look that her eyes follow up on. "You're always invited to do more than look, petal."

She stands also. "But perhaps, after your gift and our trip, hmm?" She holds the object in question out to him.

The gift is a pair of expensive, high quality binoculars. Nothing but the best for her man.

Chuckling, Newt takes the gift and opens it.

"Binoculars--these are--Pamela, these are wonderful!" he gushed, turning them over in a bit of awe. Sure he had seen binoculars before but the ones in this world were far more amazing than the ones he was familiar with and these in particular were fantastic quality. "They will go to great use, I promise you that!"

Without hesitation he hung them around his neck before motioning to her to wait as he moved to pull something out of his bag and hand it to her.

"Here. I..well I crossed paths with a young woman in Azalea who was from another region and was very talented in jewelry making and this--I thought you might like this," he said with a shy smile. Inside the package was a bracelet and ring set that looked to be made out of silver but was much lighter than it should be. Almost as if it were made out of... "It's made from recycled aluminum. I..thought you'd enjoy that particular part about it most."

Pamela smiles bright and delicately takes the set out of their box. "Oh, Newt, they're beautiful."

Her eyes light up as she places them onto her hand and walks over to him, slipping her arms around his neck. "I do. And they match my necklace perfectly." Said necklace, Newt's previous gift, is hung around her neck as always.

"I love them. Thankyou, petal." She pressed her lips to his for some deeper kissing than they've had so far this morning.

Relief flooded him as Pamela expressed her delight over the gift and he wound his arms around her waist as she came close, returning the kiss and allowing himself to melt into her embrace as he did.

"You are most welcome," he murmured against her lips as he finally pulled away, forehead resting against hers as he smiled softy.
