He tends to hide his face in his wings when approached by strangers, and often times Chihiro has to be careful or he will fly away if startled to try to find someone's head to nest on unassumingly. He is very close to his mother, Utako, and she does a lot to help him gain a bit more confidence."
Monet ended up in Newt's care after a young woman named Xion returned home. While he had never met her before that isn't going to stop him from taking excellent care of this lovely creature who is very obviously upset with the loss of a second trainer.
Found in PC (level 100) | February 7th, 2018 "Once the calm and kind partner to one determined wizard Marcia Overstand, this Lapras found his way to Garry after the proud woman disappeared in April on the 21st. While sad to see the older woman go, as she had been one of the few also interested in leaving Johto to go back home, Garry will do his best to take care of her starter. As Marcia never named the Lapras, he's come to calling him 'Skye'."
The second Pokemon that Newt found in his care that belonged to the young woman named Xion. Like with Monet he didn't hesitate to take on this new addition to his family and introduced Skye to the Lapras Sisters who immediately took a liking to the male. They were very quick to pick up on how melancholy he was and have been working hard to cheer him up as best they can.

Found in PC (level 98) | March 1st, 2018 "Anemone was a very lonely Pokemon on Route 31. She only wanted someone to love her but she knew she had a distinct, Goomy related problem.. She was extra sticky. Certainly a difficult thing to over come. She had been stuck in a tree when a trainer, Ignis Scientia accidentally walked into her.
She became stuck to his hair and that was that. But Ignis has never faulted her for her stickiness, though he usually handles her with gloves on. She loves him for it and is quite happy to remain by his side now, even if she still hopes one day to return to her original place in his hair."

She will run from even small Pokemon and definitely feels uncomfortable around people that aren't Ignis. The blanket Ignis kept over her egg remains on her head, used as a safety blanket."

He gets a ton of attention from Anna and often stays out of his Pokeball because he's so hesitant to leave the princess's embrace."

Adopted from Botan (level 90/80) | March 6th, 2018 "Anna took it upon herself to herd plenty of Espurrs during the region-wide swarm in Violet City, making sure as many of the kitties as she can were able to get on their feet and walk around to their hearts content without too much injury. Of the many Espurrs that she hoarded, Storm was the first that she found, and though she is almost as reserved as Amber, she still has great potential, or so Anna believes. Despite its blank expression, Anna finds it rather affectionate, and it likes to sit on her head as Anna travels on occasion.
Though Anna wanted to let all of the other Espurrs she found roam free, two more Espurrs have decided to stay alongside her and tag along. The three of them seem to get along rather well within their own personal circle, and they all have their own unique characteristics; besides, Anna figures, Storm can use the company.
One of them was later given to Elsa upon her arrival in Cherrygrove!"

She has taken the lead in regards to Credence, determined to convince him to move forward and fully embrace the Pokemon world.
She's a bit of a scrapper herself, willing to defend Credence from anything that frightens him and considering that everything frightens him she has a lot of work to do. She's determined and patient, willing to take as long as Credence needs while still pushing him to try doing things he never has before. She's just a motherly little fox and wants her trainer to find his peace."

Met in the Safari Zone (level 27) | February 14th, 2018 While visiting the Safari Zone with Pamela, Newt happened upon this poor little Cubone by complete accident. She seemed to have gotten herself stuck between two rocks and was having trouble getting herself out even with bone club as a wedge, the stress of the situation driving the poor dear to tears. After some gentle words Newt was able to approach and help her get free, offering her a few berries and examining her foot to make sure she was alright. The tears continued and it was clear the poor thing was all alone, like most Cubones seemed to be, and Newt couldn't help but be reminded of a certain young man he'd taken under his wing the more time he spent with the little thing. Eventually he began to tell her stories to try and calm her down, stories about his friends and, in particular, about Credence and what the young man had been through. Eventually the Cubone's tears had stopped and she seemed to be deep in thought only to hesitantly inquire in her own way about meeting this person that sounded a lot like her.
Thus Newt ended up catching Grace and tucking her safely away, taking her back home to Azalea where he introduced her to Credence.
