All these Pokemon are young ones that Newt has hatched and raised. They stay at his cottage in Azalea until they are old enough to either join his team if they want, go free, or find a home with one of Newt's friends.

Received in Goldenrod City (egg) | November 2nd, 2017 Hatched on November 8th, 2017 Uric is a very odd little Pokemon. Very..odd. He doesn't seem all that fond of the water and prefers to bounce up into trees, wobbling about on branches before letting himself fall over the edge so he can bounce off the ground to try and reach new heights. It's also rather rare to see him bounce, Uric preferring to just sort of..roll as he goes.
Despite these quirks he's still adored by most of the younger Pokemon in Newt's traveling group, close friends with his fellow newly hatched 'mons, Quong and Pamela.

Received from Queenie (eggs) | November 2nd, 2017 Hatched on November 6th, 2017 Three of Jacob and Queenie's children ended up staying with Newt and he's honestly quite okay with that. All of them are hard little workers that strive to be good caretakers like their mother and trainer are. Despite being young they have taken on a lot of responsibility towards the other Pokemon in Newt's group and household in general, Duchess especially tending to injured Pokemon that may wander into the cottage while Baron and Duke tend to all of the newly hatched Pokemon.
The trio get along very well with very few squabbles happening unless it concerns nap time. Duke is a little more easy going about it while the other two are rather strict about making sure all the other little ones take naps.
Eventually they win, though. Most of the time. (Duke is a master of playtime and the other young Pokes love him for it.)

Met in Azalea Town (level 13) | December 12th, 2017 Montague was brought to Newt by some of his non-permanent companions after the incident in Goldenrod City. The poor thing was in a state of shock and had been clearly abused during his time spent with whoever was responsible for the warehouse. (Newt would later find out it was Team Rocket.) Wary of humans, the Elekid refused to let Newt close and in the end Newt had Queenie tend to him, quietly instructing her on what to do.
Since his arrival Montague has spent his time with the Joltik Colony, absorbing electricity from them and recovering from the trauma he experienced. He still refuses to let Newt close but seems to be growing more comfortable with some of the other Pokemon at the cabin which is better than nothing in Newt's book.
Received from Ford Pines (egg) | February 14th, 2018 Hatched on February 21st, 2018 Murtle is an odd little thing that tends to spend the majority of her time closed up resting on the bottom of the Lapras Pod's stream bed. Every now and then you may catch her cracking her shell open to see what's going on or you may even see her on the shore chatting with the Pod members but she seems quite content to just be by herself for the time being. One thing Newt has noticed about her is that she loves to sing and more often than not, when she's got her shell closed up tight, one can hear her singing at top volume if you get close enough. It's odd but endearing and Newt is working with her to try and get her to open up more often though it really doesn't seem to have anything to do with her being shy.

Received from Pamela (egg) | February 14th, 2018 Hatched on February 21st, 2018 From the moment he hatched, rolling out of his egg and laying on his back staring up at Newt, Rune was a curious little thing. Rather than try to right himself, Rune instead tried to nibble at Newt's pant leg in an attempt to figure out what the material was before moving on to licking his shoe then undoing his boot-laces. Needless to say almost everything in Newt's cottage has need nibbled on or licked by this guy as he attempts to figure things out.
He's a very easy going Tropius and enjoys just lumbering around the grounds when he's not busy investigating things with his mouth.

Received from Pamela (egg) | February 14th, 2018 Hatched on February 21st, 2018 Kappa loves to eat. Not just in the "Oh that's so cute look at her stuffing her face!" sort of way. No. Kappa loves to gorge herself and will continue to eat until there is absolutely nothing left if no one stops her. This little Turtwig is compromised completely of stomach, at least that's how it seems, and if it can be eaten she will attempt to devour it. (It's not like Rune who simple investigates things by putting them in his mouth. No. She just straight up wants to eat everything that she can fit in her mouth.)
Because of her love for eating Niffler has taken an immediately liking to Kappa and seems to enjoy encouraging the little Turtwig to eat just about anything and everything around the cottage. Needless to say, it's now a full time job keeping an eye on both of them. Good thing Roxy's pack is a little larger now because Newt could definitely use the extra help.

Received from Ash Fox (egg) | February 15th, 2018 Hatched on February 25th, 2018 Of the latest batch of eggs that Newt took on, he was most excited for this particular egg and when Gemma finally hatched (faster than normal thanks to Felsic's care), Newt was immediately charmed by the darling little Lapras. She's very timid and requires a very gentle tone and easy going body language until she gets to know you but once she's comfortable she's an absolute delight to be around. She loves to cuddle up to other Pokemon just as much as she loves to cuddle people and can usually be found sandwiched between the other members of Newt's Lapras Pod.
She has a fondness for flowers and seaweed and loves to decorate her shell and the shell of the other Pod members--and sometimes even Newt himself--scouring the stream bed for things she can use to make everyone look beautiful!

Received from Diana Ladris (level 1) | February 15th, 2018 Another pup adopted from Diana's pack, Sirius is very outgoing and ready for adventure. He's the first to jump headfirst into trouble, not caring what the repercussions might be because he's far to interested in the thrill to care about the end result right now. From the moment he hatched he was darting about exploring the cabin and figured out pretty quickly that not only was there an animal door that he could use but he could also reach up with his front paws if he stood up on his hind legs and use the regular handle. Needless to say Newt has had to child proof a lot of things inside his cabin for the time being.
Sirius was quickly taken in by Roxy and her pack, since his parents are members of her parents pack, and he's determined to prove himself to her and the others. He doesn't want to be a helpless pup for long and strives to me useful to them even if it means he has to go above and beyond the expectations of everyone. Actually anyone. Seriously. No one wants you to do this crazy stuff, pup! Calm down! They like you enough as it is!

Received from Roxy and Mopsus (egg) | March 31st, 2018 Hatched April 4th, 2018 One of Mopsus and Roxy's Easter puppies, Newt decided to keep one of the eggs for himself, wanting to raise another Rockruff and see what evolution he would get this time. Scout is a very easy going little puppy, very much the type to roll over and let others rough house on top of him rather than being involved in the roughhousing. He loves to sprawl out in the sun and let his tongue loll out, very much the type of canine to enjoy long cat naps if you allow him. He's a very good listener though, like his mother and father both, and has taken well to learning various commands and even some specialty tricks, very keen on learning to do things around the cottage like the Audino kids do!
Scout quickly found his best friends in Ano, Molly and Nundu and the four of them are usually romping about together exploring or just dozing in a giant pile together.

Received from Ford Pines (egg) | April 8th, 2018 Hatched on April 10th, 2018 Juniper hatched after special care and attention from Felsic the Slugma who took a particular interest in this new egg acquisition for reasons Newt still hasn't entirely figured out. The little Ralts turned out to have a similar mutation to one of his parents, which could explain why Felsic was so interested in the egg, though it was clear from the moment he hatched that Juniper thought he was the most beautiful thing in the room.
He's rather calm and collected over all and enjoys sitting with Newt in the evenings during story time, always listening intently as he munches on a berry or Poffin but if anyone dares to say something about his double horns? They will wake the beast that lurks inside this little guy. He is fabulous and amazing and it's alright if you're jealous! Some people just aren't born this beautiful!
