Met in the Dark Cave (level 10) | July 15th, 2017 Newt encountered this extremely stoic Noibat during his first night in the dark cave. The small creature was worn out, having been chased by some other Pokemon if Newt had to guess, and had laid on the ground near his campfire for a few hours before allowing anyone to get near him. Newt and Queenie immediately set about taking care of the Noibat, offering him some berries and a more comfortable place to sleep while he regained his strength. He seems content to stick with the group for the time being, probably in order to keep away from the larger Pokemon that had been messing with him.
Unlike Merlin who tends to disappear for days at a time to go exploring, Salazar seems content to continue traveling with Newt and Queenie, usually found clinging to the young man's jacket to sleep. He does go flying at night but is always back by morning and has, more than once, brought a Pokemon back to Newt for some TLC because of an injury.
Salazar has recently shown interest in some of the birds that have visited their camp while traveling Route 13 and ended up having eggs with a visiting Pelipper--though Newt has no idea which visitor it was just yet. He doesn't seem keen to have a life-long mate just yet but perhaps one day he'll find his one true love. Until then he's going to continue to train with Merlin and Fae, yearning for his final evolution.

Met on Route 19 (level 30) | September 2nd, 2017 Newt met Malie during the beach party he attended with Armin and his friends. While most of the other party goers socialized with one another, Newt spent quite a bit of time getting to know the surfing Pikachus--Malie in particular. When it came time for him to move on, the quirky little female asked if she could tag along, using the writing skills Newt had taught her to express said interest. Newt was happy to bring her along and she seems to be enjoying herself as well. (The plan is for her to travel with them until they meet up with the surfing 'Chus once more.)
With the addition of Hufflepuff to Newt's traveling party, Malie has been rather smitten, constantly chatting with the Ditto and happily carrying him about on her head when they're on the move. More often than not Hufflepuff takes the form of a Pikachu so he can run about with her and their relationship seems to be growing with each passing day. So much so that they graced Newt with ten eggs their first go around.
While it's never been discussed Malie has happily stayed by Newt's side through his travels and settled with him and the other Pokemon at his cottage in Azalea. She still is very much a free spirit and from time to time she disappears on some short adventure but inevitably she returns with small presents for Newt and Hufflepuff to settle in once more with the rest of the family.
It was during Newt's time away with Pamela that Malie disappeared for a longer time than normal, heading back to the Kanto region to visit her fellow Surfing Pikachus. She didn't reappear until well after the pair returned home and, when she finally did, she had quite the surprise for her family! With the help of a Thunder Stone, Malie had evolved on the island taking the rare Alolan Raichu form in doing so.
Met on Route 14 (level 30) | September 9th, 2017 Newt had read quite a bit about Dittos and knew that, for Breeders, they were a rather helpful creature to have around. It wasn't until his visit to the Kanto Region that he finally met any, though, and what a joyful lot he encountered. Most of them seemed content to stay right where they were but Hufflepuff expressed interest in Newt and his friends, especially Malie the Pikachu.
She was, ultimately, the deciding factor for them--returning the Ditto's interest with some of her own--and they decided to tag along to see where this adventure would lead. It didn't take long for Hufflepuff and Malie to grow close, and fond, of one another, eventually gracing Newt with a clutch of ten eggs.

Met on Mt. Moon (level 12) | October 9th, 2017 Mt. Moon was already a rather extraordinary place but then Newt happened upon this young creature. His Dex had informed him that Orangurus were a rare sight on the mountain and he hadn't expected to end up hosting one in his camp but Cornelius had apparently had other plans for the wizard. He'd ended up settling near the fire during one of Newt's story-telling sessions and lingered around, obviously quite curious about the traveling party.
Newt decided to chat with him and it turned into the two communicating through makeshift sign language that they developed and written words--as Newt realized quite quickly how intelligent the Oranguru was and taught him basic words. Before he knew it, it was morning and Newt found himself completely charmed by Cornelius--and the same could be said about Cornelius towards Newt. He decided to stay with the party and seems rather keen on learning everything that Newt is willing to teach, following the young man around so he can watch every little thing he does and attempt to mimic it.

Met in Saffron City (level 25) | October 31st, 2017 Gaspard is a bit of a trouble-maker and honestly Newt isn't sure why the Purrloin took such an interest in the group. (Hint: It's because of Roxy) After the nightmare forest disappear Newt and his companions found themselves in Saffron City and crossed paths with this tricky feline not long after. He tailed them for their entire stay in the city and seemed to find it quite amusing to trip Newt and the Pokemon up whenever he could.
When they finally left, Gaspard followed and seems to have made up his mind that this is where he wants to be. Little does Newt know this Purrloin is responsible for getting them out of the forest and Gaspard would rather keep it that way.
No sense in ruining his image as a bad boy, right?

Met in Goldenrod City (level 19) | November 5th, 2017 As Newt and companions were getting ready to leave Goldenrod, this curious little Klefki decided that he was going to tag along. He attached himself to Newt's belt without the wizard noticing, happily swinging about as the group set out on the road. It wasn't until the next day that Newt actually noticed him--and even then it took Queenie and Roxy pointing the Klefki out--the wizard immediately complimenting the little thing on it's collection of keys.
Earning the nickname 'Keeper', the little Klefki is settling in with the group quite nicely and seems to be especially fond of Gertie's company.

Met in Azalea Town (level 20) | November 27th, 2017 There were many Pokemon that wandered into Newt's suitcase during the events of the Fourth Wall Weekend but only one stayed--a little Budew with a strong will and an impish streak that's endless. Beaumont is a grass Pokemon that doesn't seem to be scared of anything, not even fire, ready to face anything the world has to throw at him as long as he can cause a little mischief in the process. He seems innocent when you first get to know him but Beaumont definitely knows how to make words flow like silk and can charm the pants off anyone if given the opportunity.
Despite his nature Beaumont does seem to genuinely like Newt, curious about the man because of how in-tune he is with so many different creatures. This little Budew has taken his place among the residents of Newt's party though he's content to live without a Pokeball for now. There are still plenty of adventures he may decide to go on, after all!
Even a thirst for adventure can be quelled given time and something much more satisfying: love. The more time Beaumont spent with Newt's group the more he found himself drawn to Morgan the Flabebe and over time the pair seemed to find a mutual attraction. In March of the new year, the pair made the decision to evolve together and they made their final evolutions to Roserade and Florges. Beaumont is quite proud of his new form and devotes his time to looking after his love, dutifully following her and aiding her in caring for the gardens around Newt's cottage--though he still enjoys getting into a spot of trouble with Fay here and there!

Met at the Ruins of Alph (levels 10-11-15 ) | March 7th, 2018 On his list of Pokemon to meet while exploring the ruins, Unowns had evaded him for much of his trip there and Newt had, understandably, been a bit disappointed. Little did he know that three in particular had been following him and Credence for a good portion of their stay in the ruins and were rather fascinated with the wizard in particular. It was actually what they were able to read from him, the thoughts and even the thoughts of the Pokemon with him, that seemed to make them even more curious as the days passed until they finally made their presence known.
Oddly enough the trio spelled out the word "WIZ" when put together and Newt found it rather charming, taking to the trio rather quickly and enjoying their presence. He was surprised but delighted when they decided to accompany him home and more often than not the little creatures can be found hiding in the pockets of his jacket, content to stay close to their wizard friend.

Met at the Ruins of Alph (level 20) | March 8th, 2018 Gwydion is a very gentle soul that, rather than attempting to battle travelers that were passing through the Ruins of Alph, would instead attempt to assist them in finding the exit when they were very obviously lost. She's spent her entire life in the ruins and is familiar with the ups and downs of it but longs to see the rest of the world--or at least something a little different. She's a big dreamer which makes her a great match for Dalí.

Met at the Ruins of Alph (level 12) | March 8th, 2018 Dalí is a rather strange Pokemon that Newt encountered while exploring the Ruins of Alph. Smeargle, in general, are a very odd species of Pokemon but Dalí in particular seems to have developed so strange quirks that Newt has yet to see in any of the others that he encountered. Rather than painting with his tail brush, this Smeargle prefers to smear paint on his hands and use them to create his masterpieces. What's more is that he seems to do his best work whenever Gwydion the Munna is close by. Newt has a feeling that it's the dreams she projects that give Dalí inspiration for the fantastical scenes he creates and that's why the pair are so closely bonded. He doesn't seem to engage with other Pokemon and rather makes any sounds at all, always focused on his work and the things that Gwydion is showing him.
Received from Jean (egg) | January 2nd, 2018 Hatched on January 12th, 2018 Sykes is a very, very odd little thing which is probably why they get along so well with Uric the Azurill. The pair can often be found rolling around together and having a grand old time though don't you dare try to stop them because Sykes isn't having any of it. They are very persistent and will only stop when they are ready, usually throwing a bit of a fit if they're told they have to stop which results in quite a bit of static electricity in the air.
As time has passed and Sykes has grown, they've begun to grow close to Montague the Elekid as well, often cuddling up to the younger Pokemon to comfort him when it's clear the former Team Rocket captive is having a bad day. They and Uric seem to have made it their job in life to cheer Montague up and Newt is very happy to see the Elekid bonding with some of the other Pokemon. Sykes evolution seems to have been promoted by their smaller friends, as well, and they take their role as protector quite seriously...even if they still enjoying rolling down hills just for the fun of it.
Met in ???? (level 5-15) | September ???? Newt honestly has no idea how many Joltiks are actually in his suitcase at this point; he hasn't bothered to count and really doesn't mind the little colony that's developed.

Received from Ignis (egg) | January 14th, 2018 Hatched on January 21st, 2018 Doxy is a little bit of a terror. Not so much of one that Newt can't get him to listen but it's really only Newt that he seems to want to listen to. He's already at odds with Poly who is protective of their trainer as he is HERS and no one else's and, well, Doxy seems to want to challenge that. He loves to knock things on shelves onto other Pokemon then dart off before they can get him in trouble and is usually the one that's unraveled all the toilet paper and made a right mess of the bathroom. When he wants to cuddle, though, Doxy turns into a little angel, curled up on his chosen's lap for however long his nap may last.
Being the mischievous little thing that he is, it's no surprise that Doxy took the first chance to evolve that he got when Newt wasn't around. Swiping a Leaf Stone out of one of Newt's drawers, the little Eevee was happily batting it around and sent it tumbling down the stairs. He followed it and with a swift pounce landed on it--and promptly evolved in a flash of light. Now a Leafeon, Doxy greatly enjoys blending in with the foliage to find from others and pounce on them when they're least expecting it.

Received from Ford Pines (egg) | December 7th, 2017 Hatched on December 12th, 2017 Cyprian is a rather skittish little thing, easily startled and intimidated even if no one is actually trying to intimidate her. She seems to like to try and stay out of sight, out of mind if she can, using attempting to tuck herself into the pockets of Newt's coat if she can or hiding behind the couch cushions whenever she's out and about in the cabin. It takes some coaxing but she can be convinced to come out and play with some of the other young beings though one wrong move or a loud noise will send her zipping off to hide somewhere and she probably won't come out again during that particular play session.
As the months have past Cyprian has slowly started to settle down and come into her own, far less timid than she was though around new people and Pokemon she definitely prefers to stay hidden if she can. She gets along well with most of Newt's other Pokemon and can usually be found with Albus the Drampa, rolling about on his back with Uric or taking naps with the other young ones. Her absolute favorite time of the day, it turns out, is anytime that involves eating because this little girl LOVES to eat. (Something that Niffler the Sableye has caught on to and loves to egg on by trying to get Cyprian to eat anything and everything. Newt's working on trying to curb the behavior.)
After Newt returned from the island prom with Pamela, he was delighted to find that Cyprian had evolved and seemed to be more eager to train and learn to battle. She's taken to following Salazar around now that he's back as well and seems to be fascinated with the Noivern's fighting style in particular, even if she doesn't have quite the same moveset as him. She wants to be strong like him someday!!

Gwydion is a very gentle soul that, rather than attempting to battle travelers that were passing through the Ruins of Alph, would instead attempt to assist them in finding the exit when they were very obviously lost. She's spent her entire life in the ruins and is familiar with the ups and downs of it but longs to see the rest of the world--or at least something a little different. She's a big dreamer which makes her a great match for Dalí.

Dalí is a rather strange Pokemon that Newt encountered while exploring the Ruins of Alph. Smeargle, in general, are a very odd species of Pokemon but Dalí in particular seems to have developed so strange quirks that Newt has yet to see in any of the others that he encountered. Rather than painting with his tail brush, this Smeargle prefers to smear paint on his hands and use them to create his masterpieces. What's more is that he seems to do his best work whenever Gwydion the Munna is close by. Newt has a feeling that it's the dreams she projects that give Dalí inspiration for the fantastical scenes he creates and that's why the pair are so closely bonded. He doesn't seem to engage with other Pokemon and rather makes any sounds at all, always focused on his work and the things that Gwydion is showing him.

Sykes is a very, very odd little thing which is probably why they get along so well with Uric the Azurill. The pair can often be found rolling around together and having a grand old time though don't you dare try to stop them because Sykes isn't having any of it. They are very persistent and will only stop when they are ready, usually throwing a bit of a fit if they're told they have to stop which results in quite a bit of static electricity in the air.
As time has passed and Sykes has grown, they've begun to grow close to Montague the Elekid as well, often cuddling up to the younger Pokemon to comfort him when it's clear the former Team Rocket captive is having a bad day. They and Uric seem to have made it their job in life to cheer Montague up and Newt is very happy to see the Elekid bonding with some of the other Pokemon. Sykes evolution seems to have been promoted by their smaller friends, as well, and they take their role as protector quite seriously...even if they still enjoying rolling down hills just for the fun of it.

Doxy is a little bit of a terror. Not so much of one that Newt can't get him to listen but it's really only Newt that he seems to want to listen to. He's already at odds with Poly who is protective of their trainer as he is HERS and no one else's and, well, Doxy seems to want to challenge that. He loves to knock things on shelves onto other Pokemon then dart off before they can get him in trouble and is usually the one that's unraveled all the toilet paper and made a right mess of the bathroom. When he wants to cuddle, though, Doxy turns into a little angel, curled up on his chosen's lap for however long his nap may last.
Being the mischievous little thing that he is, it's no surprise that Doxy took the first chance to evolve that he got when Newt wasn't around. Swiping a Leaf Stone out of one of Newt's drawers, the little Eevee was happily batting it around and sent it tumbling down the stairs. He followed it and with a swift pounce landed on it--and promptly evolved in a flash of light. Now a Leafeon, Doxy greatly enjoys blending in with the foliage to find from others and pounce on them when they're least expecting it.

Cyprian is a rather skittish little thing, easily startled and intimidated even if no one is actually trying to intimidate her. She seems to like to try and stay out of sight, out of mind if she can, using attempting to tuck herself into the pockets of Newt's coat if she can or hiding behind the couch cushions whenever she's out and about in the cabin. It takes some coaxing but she can be convinced to come out and play with some of the other young beings though one wrong move or a loud noise will send her zipping off to hide somewhere and she probably won't come out again during that particular play session.
As the months have past Cyprian has slowly started to settle down and come into her own, far less timid than she was though around new people and Pokemon she definitely prefers to stay hidden if she can. She gets along well with most of Newt's other Pokemon and can usually be found with Albus the Drampa, rolling about on his back with Uric or taking naps with the other young ones. Her absolute favorite time of the day, it turns out, is anytime that involves eating because this little girl LOVES to eat. (Something that Niffler the Sableye has caught on to and loves to egg on by trying to get Cyprian to eat anything and everything. Newt's working on trying to curb the behavior.)
After Newt returned from the island prom with Pamela, he was delighted to find that Cyprian had evolved and seemed to be more eager to train and learn to battle. She's taken to following Salazar around now that he's back as well and seems to be fascinated with the Noivern's fighting style in particular, even if she doesn't have quite the same moveset as him. She wants to be strong like him someday!!
