The cat (Felis catus, or Felis silvestris catu, literally "woodland cat"), often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish from other felids and felines, is a small, typically furry, carnivorous mammal. It is often called house cat when kept as indoor pet or feral/feral domestic cat when wild.
It is often valued by humans for companionship and for its ability to hunt vermin. There are more than seventy cat breeds recognized by various cat registries.
Pines and Arlert came home with me after Flavius and I attended the Festival of Lights which was a rather grand celebration in a curious country that opened its borders to the rest of the world for the first time in..quite a while from what I understand. There were hundreds of cats living in this particular city that I ventured into and I have to admit, I was tempted to bring more of them along with me but in the end these two seemed most content to continue traveling with me in the end.
Their personalities remind me quite a bit of Ford Pines and Armin Arlert, whom I met in the previous world I lived on. They were..dear friends of mine and I hope they are both doing well...
